Life Groups are small groups of community through which we pursue real life by taking time to share life. There is no substitute for living a shared life. Just think about the benefits. When we share our joys, they double. And when we share our burdens, they are cut in half.
Jesus’ first churches followed the pattern of meeting in both large groups and small groups (ACTS 2.46). At Church of the King, we meet together weekly as a large group to experience God through worship and teaching. But following Jesus also requires the encouragement, fellowship, and accountability that happens best within the context of a small group. And that’s where Life Groups come in. You weren’t meant to go through life alone. Through Life Groups that happen during Wednesday Nights Alive, you are given the opportunity to meet with others and share life, strengthen in your faith, and encourage each other to grow in the Lord.

Life Lessons From Philippians
Pastor Max Lucado introduces his study of Philippians this way…
“In an era marked by frustration, could you use more contentment? In a world filled with anxieties, worries, and fears, could you stand to have a bit more joy?
The believers in Philippi were struggling. They were trying to grow in faith and live for Christ. Trying to deal with conflict and threats of persecution. The apostle Paul was stuck in a Roman prison when he wrote to this young church. His letter could have focused on his own troubles. Instead, he wrote about living a life full of joy, peace, and contentment.”
That is what we will study, discuss, and grow in as we go through the New Testament letter titled, “Philippians.” Join us in the sanctuary, Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 PM. We will have tables set-up for various groups to study. We would love to connect you with one of them when you arrive. Come with your Bible and be ready to study and grow.
