Before You Attend
Since we know that attending a church for the first time can feel intimidating, we want to do everything we can to make your first visit to Church of the King a comortable one. We encourage you to arrive early to meet our greeters. They are trained to welcome you and help you get settled in. If you have children they will help you get them checked into our children's ministry. They will also help you find a good seat.
Once the service begins, here are a few tips that will help you enjoy the experience:
- The service will usually begin with a welcome from our pastor and his wife. They will introduce themselves and pray over the service.
- Our worship music is designed to welcome participation. The words for each song will be on the screen.
- The message is designed to be both biblical and relevant. We pray that you will discover what God is saying about real life.
- We aren't after your money. When the offering is received please don't feel any pressure or obligation to give. You are our guest.
- Most of all, we want you to create an atmosphere where you can experience a personal encounter with God.
- The service will usually last about 90 minutes.
After the service we will have a guest reception where we'd love to meet you and give you a gift to thank you for your visit. More details about the guest reception will be communicated during the service.
We want every person who visits our church to belong before they believe. In other words, no matter where you are on your own spiritual journey, we hope that when you visit us you feel like you're at home.
